Daddy in the Algorithm (2017)

Public exhibition of a body of research following a period of residency at Queen’s Park Railway Club, Glasgow. The exhibition included new paintings, sculptures and a specially commissioned installation investigating themes of disruption, disputed territory, taxonomies, and the mechanisms of contemporary art. The research drew from the overlapping of a number of social and natural histories to create a temporary site of reflection that concluded with a performance work.
The installation included a range of materials including oil paint, acrylic paint, wine, permanent marker, canvas, linen, rabbit skin glue, PVA glue, polyethylene, felt notice board, polyethylene, adhesive tape, bitumen, hair, framed collage and foam wrap, adhesive labels, balloons, helium, ribbons, white board, adhesive labels, cable ties, electroplated steel chain, skull (macaca fascicularis), screws, staples, tissue, umbilical cords, wine bags.
